Corrective Treatment
Removal of Unwanted Volume Replacement
Volume dissolving is a corrective treatment designed to safely break down and remove unwanted volume replacement. It works by targeting the treatment material, allowing it to be naturally metabolised by the body.
This treatment is available at Angelic Cosmetic Clinic, Kogarah NSW, and is suitable for clients who wish to reverse unwanted volume replacement, address complications, correct asymmetry, or simply return to their natural appearance.
When Is Volume Dissolving Appropriate?
Volume dissolving treatment may be appropriate in the following situations:
- Unwanted volume replacement result or outcome not as expected
- Volume asymmetry or irregularity
- Migration of previously placed volume replacement
- Overcorrection or excess volume
- Tyndall effect (bluish discolouration visible under skin)
- Vascular complications requiring emergency dissolving
- Client wishing to return to their pre-treatment appearance
The Dissolving Process
Assessment Consultation
Thorough assessment of the volume replacement present, its location, type, volume and your concerns. We will advise on the treatment plan and what to expect.
Skin Testing (if required)
In some cases a small skin test may be performed prior to full treatment to check for any sensitivity.
Dissolving Treatment
The dissolving agent is administered into the area where volume replacement is present. Some swelling may occur immediately following the procedure, which is expected.
Review & Reassessment
A review is scheduled 2–4 weeks after dissolving to assess how much volume replacement has been broken down. Additional sessions may be required for complete dissolving.

Yes — once the dissolving agent has fully metabolised (typically 2–4 weeks), you may be suitable to have new volume replacement if desired. Your practitioner will advise on the appropriate waiting period.
